The recipient of the Console Table is having a new Gothic style house built and the interior doorway influenced my design.  My aspiration was to incorporate the architectural details using arching of the same radius but emerging at different angles.

 

The materials for this piece are American Walnut and Sycamore with Walnut Burr top, inspired by the clients new American Walnut staircase bannister, which leads into the hallway where the table is situated.

 

I have incorporated two drawers (interiors lined in Quatersawn Oak) per the client brief to store items such as keys and post in their hallway.

 

This Table was also one of the three 2015 winners of the Alan Peters award, at Celebaration Of Craftsmenship & Design exhibition.
